Bristol City Council by duplicity are costing the residents of the Cotswold community in Shirehampton in the region of 75,000 pounds each.
On the one hand the Council is stopping brown field site development in some of the biggest gardens in the West of Bristol so stopping the potential of the owners realising the value of the gardens by getting planning permission for second house which would increase the value of their property by 50,000 pounds just having planning permission.
On the other hand they are using the housing shortage to force through their own plans to use a local amenity the Daisy Field site on the banks of the Avon in a former flood risk site for a new housing estate.
In reducing open space and views and greatly increasing local traffic and pollution this will reduce the value of the neighbouring by about 25,000 pounds.
Preparation is in progress for engaging a large Bristol Law firm to stop the Daisy Field site or to claim compensation if it does go though, using the GroupLaw system.
